canopy
I had various motivations for building a personal website, but the most important one was for creating a central hub to store bits and pieces of myself. To that end, it needed to be an overarching cover for all the things I wanted to reveal about myself, which is where the word 'canopy' comes from. In terms of a forest, it is the high layer of leaves and branches at the top, and though slightly unintuitive if you constantly work with trees in the data structure sense, I thought it was fitting.
Most of this site is pretty standard; the main point that I am quite happy with is the side scroll (only viewable on computer), which emulates a growing vine when you scroll down and retracts when scrolling back up, much like dangling vines you might see falling from trees in a larger forest.
Though I haven't gotten to it yet, I think it would be quite interesting to add a treehouse-style header to match the name as well!
